#1. Growth in Live Stream
Live stream will be stronger than ever. Rob Haddad, Director of Strategic Accounts at SocailFlow, believes that live streaming will continue to develop across social media platforms. From casual viewing of batting practice before major league baseball games to in-app alerts on live streams, 2018 will see the continued scale of live streaming.

#2. Media Companies Adopt Blockchain
Blockchain, the underlying technology that powers Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, gained massive public attention in 2017. Jim Anderson, CEO of SocialFlow, believes that blockchain will continue to develop and power other things as well, including media content and the consumer attention associated with it. Blockchains transformative potential will now apply to the media ecosystem and we’ll see the development begin in 2018.

#3. Shorter Videos with Music Beds
With Facebook’s recent deal with Universal Music and Facebook’s push to have shorter videos, in 2018, we’re going to see the two combine. According to Mark White, SocialFlow’s Director of Communication, we’re going to see shorter videos with really exciting musical beds, which will be a huge hit with the younger generation.
